Using a sealed digestion tube, in a strong acidic solution, an oxidant containing a certain amount of potassium dichromate is used to dissolve at a constant temperature of 165 ℃ under the action of a catalyst, so that the reducing substances in the water are oxidized. The absorbance of Cr6+and Cr3+in the water sample is measured at different wavelengths, and the COD content in the water is calculated using the absorbance.
